Our
legislators see the efficient Paris subway, then claim that we need the same
here to solve traffic congestion.
What they don't realize
is Paris is the same area as Everett, but contains the same population (3.5M) as
the entire Puget Sound
region. That is, 70,000/sq. mile vs 4,400. We will
never get to that density.
LA realized this after wasting
$7B on rail; now going for Bus Rapid Transit- a new way of employing rubber in
place of steel. We
should learn from them!
